We have a tradition when the new calendar year comes around to make resolutions. Most of these resolutions revolve around getting healthier, living better or being more productive (just to name a few). With my informal survey, I haven’t heard anyone resolve to do anything legal. Maybe I think differently than most people since I work for a law firm, but why not do something legally beneficial for yourself and your loved ones. What I’m talking about here is updating your will of course or, for some, getting a will. A friend of mine once told me that he “finally felt like a full fledged adult” when he got his will done. However it makes you feel its a good idea to have a will or get your will reviewed periodically.
We’ve written articles before about how often you should update your will and questions people frequently have about wills. I know that a lot of people like to do their own research, but its worth talking to an attorney. We’ve made this easy by offering free initial consultations.
